Finally!! Permission to take pictures of my garden! Smile2012-04-20_4532web

This weeks prompt is all about growth and nowhere is that more evident than in my little vegetable garden.  It’s so hard to believe that in just a few short weeks, my sweet little beet seedlings have gone from this…

…to this!

Since thinning my seedlings, they have grown probably four times their size!2012-04-20_4527web

The same is true for my Buttercrunch lettuce.2012-04-20_4518web

I think we’ll actually get to harvest some soon!2012-04-20_4513cropweb

Honestly, I just find it so remarkable how these vibrant carrot plants have grown out of seeds no bigger than the tip of a pencil!2012-04-20_4524web

The truth of the matter is that my little vegetable garden brings me an immense amount of joy. It is amazing to me to watch over time as teeny seedlings arch and push their way up through the earth.2012-04-14_4341web

And I am so blessed because every day I get to walk outside and observe the miracle taking place just beyond my back door.

Life is so, so good.

Peace, Kelly

  1. This makes me want a garden!

  2. You’ve got a beautiful garden! I keep thinking that one of these years I want to try growing something, but so far it hasn’t happened.

I know I should at least try growing some herbs, but the only time I did I never watered them enough and they didn’t last. Whoops.

  3. Sarah says:

I think my favorite is the fence and tomato cage. I am such a sucker for metal in the garden.

  4. Brandi says:

    Such beautiful pictures!

  5. Naomi says:

I totally agree that watching growth is so amazing. I feel excited to go in the backyard every day just to see what’s changed overnight. It’s simply amazing how it all happens without us!

  6. Donna says:

Great series. I love how you captured your joy in your garden. My favorite is of the lettuce with the water droplets.
