I’ve been 50 years old for a week now. But it’s sorta like that thing in January where after the new year you would still write out the previous year when you wrote a check. Well…now that I think about it, you probably only get this if you’re over 50 like me. Anyway, all of this is to say that I’m not quite yet used to saying I’m fifty.
Well so in addition to wrapping up my blog series last week, I also participated in Ali Edwards’ annual Week in the Life™ project. Over the years, it has become one of my favorite projects and, the fact that this year it coincided with my birthday week? <<insert big cheesy smile here>>
As I approached this project and the week, my goal was to acknowledge and document some of the big changes in our life this year. But also, and perhaps more importantly, I wanted to celebrate and honor the constants in our life…those things that keep us grounded and remind us of what is truly important. And, as always, I wanted to be a witness to all of the magic and joy in our everyday life. Little moments of delight that make us smile and make our ordinary days a little less ordinary.
I’m working on putting my album together, but I wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took from week because, as in previous years, the photos I take during the week are often some of my very favorite photos…and this year was no different.
Now that I’ve wrapped up my blog series and Week in the Life™, I’m looking forward to getting back to my blog with the photos and stories of my life. As always, thank you for letting me share them with you.
Love, Kelly

These photos are so gorgeous!! Every one of them. The photos of your husband working around the house remind me of some of the ones that I take of my husband. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

I love the photos. They create such a mood. I feel like I’m in the photo instead of just viewing the photo. Do you edit all your photos? I want my photos to have the same feel. Thanks for inspiring me. :0)

Kelly!
Happy belated birthday,
I have been traveling for work and am a bit behind on my inbox.
That video is so beautiful. The image of you breathing in the rose brought tears to my eyes.
The suitcase, Tripp getting a picture of the nest…….powerful images that evoke such pure emotion.
I hope you enjoyed the day and that champagne.
May you be blessed with a wonderful year.
As always, thank you sooooo much for sharing your story with us .
Be well my girl,
Susan
