That which God said to the rose, and caused it to laugh in full-blown beauty, He said to my heart, and made it a hundred times more beautiful. ~Rumi
In my garden, May is rose month.
This year has been tough on my roses. Most of the first flush of blooms were severely damaged by a late-season, hard-freeze in April. And then the second round of blooms were subjected to desiccating winds during the first couple of weeks of May.
But yet here they are – still blooming. Still growing.
Tough and beautiful. I love that.
