Around here, being greeted by a garden full of cheery black-eyed susans’ and the loveliest coral zinnias made coming home from vacation a little easier.
Around here, there has been lots of catching up to do. Lots of prioritizing and organizing, but I have gradually checked most of those things off my to-do list. And that feels really good.
Around here, I’ve had a bit of a vacation hangover. Tired and cranky. For two days I fought a pounding headache. Plus, to add insult to injury, I have a huge zit on my chin. The truth of the matter is that I brought on myself because I went off the rails and ate all the fried things! So this week it’s back to basics this week for me…lots of fresh food, lots of water, and lots of walking. Neighbors who plant exotic looking lilies in their front yard make the latter that much more enjoyable.
Around here, the frogs and locusts serenade Daisy and me on our evening walks. The air is thick and the setting sun is like honey. This is summertime in Oklahoma. And I love it.
Around here, I looking forward to having Tripp home tonight. After being together all week on vacation, this past week has felt a little extra lonesome.
Around here, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to trust my own voice and my own vision as it pertains to photography. Which always makes me profoundly grateful that you allow me to share it with you.
With So Much Love, Kelly
