it’s been a slow week around here.
there was a bunch of hub-bub about getting some severe weather this week, but unlike our neighbors to the east, we just got a few sprinkles.
oh, i almost forgot! the big news!
tripp ordered this fancy, new-age looking vacuum!
our old one was, literally, held together with duct tape. and i guess hearing me drop the f-bomb every time the suction hose fell off the floor attachment was his first clue that we might need a new one.
i should tell you that he very delicately and diplomatically brought the subject up one night watching tv. and he was sure to mention that it was not a gift of any sort, but rather an ‘investment in infrastructure’. which was probably smart considering the epic meltdown i had when he bought me a vacuum for christmas about 10 years ago.
if you’ve ever seen ‘father of bride’ and the blender scene you’ll know what i’m talking about.
anyway, this fancy vacuum is cordless so we have to let it charge before i can use it. but i’ll keep you posted.
in other tripp related news, he also rescued this little frog from the pool skimmer. because he’s a nice guy like that.
{sidenote…i love my husbands hands.}
in other news, my neighbor’s cherry tree is in full, glorious bloom. and i have to stop and admire it each time i walk down the stairs and look out my east french doors.
i am completely in love with this tree.
as well as the redbuds blooming in our median.
actually…i’m pretty much in love with spring in general.
love, kelly

Wonderful signs of spring your way. I love flowering trees. Those pink ones are really lovely. Tell hubby thanks for rescuing the cute little frog.
