around here it’s beginning to smell like spring.
around here we are sleeping with out bedroom window cracked open.
around here the cardinal, robins, and blue-jays (oh my!) are our alarm clock.
around here we are soaking up every bit of extra light in the evenings. thank you daylight savings time.
around here tripp and i are thinking about the future. pondering some decisions that need to be made sooner rather than later.
around here i am working on important things like tweaking my pandora station. this week i added the bands tonic, vertical horizon, and the wallflowers… it made me feel kind of nostalgic. is that even possible?? to be nostalgic for the late 1990’s/early 2000’s?
around here i am fighting the urge to play with the ipad before bed. because it almost always ends me with falling down the rabbit hole and pretty soon i am sucked into pinterest-stagram. here’s how it goes down….oh hey! look at this gal’s cool calligraphy on instagram. better check out that hashtag. who is this person they tagged? oh hey, they’re scrapbookers! let me check out their link. omg…scrapbookers that aren’t affiliated with studio calico. who knew? {insert snark here} i better follow them on instagram. i better follow them on pinterest. who else do they follow. oh hey…. and before i know it, it’s 12:30 a.m.
around here i want to be less curious about internet scrapbookers and more curious about the weeds in my neighbors yard.
around here i am daydreaming about spring planting. looking forward to a trip to the garden center this weekend for plants for my front porch pots. i don’t have a plant list, i don’t have a game plan, i don’t have sketch…all i know is that it’s going to be colorful.
around here i am feeling very grateful for my ordinary life.
wishing you a light and colorful weekend my friends.
love, kelly

I love the weeds! Isn’t it awesome how ordinary things can be so beautiful. (Of course it’s your photo that helps us see it that way.)
