To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

One of my goals this year is to give a little more attention to my blog. Or as I also like to call it, my teeny little corner of the interwebs. Last year, my efforts were hit-or-miss (at best). And I have felt a tug on my heart to be more present here.
My goal for this space has always been to share the little bits of magic and wonder in my ordinary life. But all too often, I get caught up in trying to weave together some kind of meaningful or cohesive story with my photos. The process of which just makes this harder than it needs to be. Which of course as you probably know is one of my special “talents”.
So this year I thought I would take a different approach. And this is to just share the photos I have taken during the week. So with that, here is my week in photos.
There isn’t really any big story here. These photos simply reflect my daily practice in mindfulness and my desire to continue to stay connected to my very real, ordinary life.
I am so grateful for the gift of photography in my life which has taught me how to seek and find little bits of magic in my days. Because it’s there. Even when the sun isn’t shining. Even when the news is unsettling. Even when the life feels like it has more questions than answers. This is what gives me hope and brings me peace. Wishing you the very same.
Love, Kelly
