The week in photos. 🦋 Fact: I saw several Swal

The week in photos. 🦋

Fact: I saw several Swallowtail and Monarch butterflies in the zinnia patch this week.
Feeling: It brings me so much joy to witness these delightful creatures in my garden. So happy to be a rest stop for them during their annual migration.

Fact: Most of the hummingbirds have already left to migrate south, but I’m still seeing a few stragglers around the yard.
Feeling: I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing their little squeaky chatter and seeing them zoom around the yard these past couple of months. I will be a little sad when they are gone, but so grateful for the delight they have brought to my summer.

Fact: My neighbor planted a pumpkin patch in her front yard.
Feeling: It’s so funny to see something so wild growing in the midst of all the perfectly manicured lawns around the neighborhood. The delight and whimsy of it make me smile every time I walk by.

Fact: Bright orange cosmos is popping up all over the neighborhood, and it’s a tell-tale sign that Autumn is here
Feeling: I find so much comfort and hope in the seasons and rhythms of nature.

Fact: The evening sun is casting the most glorious amber color down my street as it sets.
Feeling: The golden hour is always my favorite time of day. It makes me feel peaceful and present, and it reminds me of everything that beautiful, good, and true about my life.

Fact: This past week the @aliedwardsdesinginc community has been exploring the concept of using facts and feelings as a writing formula for our storytelling adventures.
Feeling: I am so grateful to @aliedwards for sharing her special gifts to help us to tell the stories of our lives.
