day 9::for the love of flowers

to love beauty is to see light. ~ victor hugo

for the times when the sun isn’t shining.  for the times when the evening news is one horrific act of violence after another.  for the times when people i love are hurting and i am powerless to help.  for the times when i let my to-do list get out of control and feel overwhelmed.

for with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.  ~psalm 36:9

whether they are from my garden or the grocery store…this is why i love having flowers in my kitchen.  their beauty reminds me of all that is good in the world.  on dark days, flowers remind me that the Light is still there, even if i can’t see it.

what lights up your life?

I agree. I put flowers in my life when I need light. Things that also light up my life: my dogs, talking with my dad or my best friend, sunsets.

This post and these flowers are simply beautiful. You also have so much beauty around your site (your ‘welcome’ and ‘on the web’ and ‘categories’ sections are lovely)! Thank you for sharing.
