Welcome to week seven of my 52 Weeks of Pinspiration series!

Sorry…my bratty side must have gotten the better of me for a sec.

OK.  Back to our regularly scheduled program. Winking smile

When I very first created my Pinterest account, the first things I started pinning were scrapbook pages.  Scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies and I love being inspired by  the brilliant work of the tons of talented scrapbookers out there – my scrapbook board is by far the most populated of my Pinterest boards.

I also happen to love Scrapbooking’s kid sister Cardmaking.  It’s the perfect way to get a little paper crafting fix in a very short amount of time and great way to use up all those little bits and pieces leftover from making scrapbook pages. Plus it’s a fun way for me to share this beloved hobby of mine with my friends and family.  And even better, Thursday night I got to share my hobby with a great group of gals at my house with a little cardmaking “workshop.”  Smile

(A couple of months ago I got invited to be part of an awesome group of creative ladies who asked if I’d teach them how to make cards. How fun is that!!)

So as I prepared for my little card making “workshop,” I decided to make a few cards for demonstration purposes.  So last Sunday evening, while Tripp was catching up with his DVR’d episodes of Gold Rush, Finding Bigfoot, and Hillbilly Handfishin’, (and he says The Real Housewives is bad TV???  I’m just sayin’…LOL) I cranked out some cards using my leftover scraps of this adorable Lily Bee Memorandum paper collection.  2012-02-17_2415web

A lot of times when I embark on a creative project, I like to collect a little inspiration.  And what better place for inspiration than Pinterest!

Chevrons are huge in the scrapping world right now and I found this great tutorial and used it as inspiration for the card below.

Banners are still popular too and I think they are super cute on cards.

The Crate Paper blog is a fantastic source of inspiration for cards.

On those cards I used this awesome letterpress set I found at a junk store while shopping with my mom one time.  Amazingly, all the letters and numbers were still in the box! Smile

As you can see, flowers and butterflies make regular appearances in my cards. LOL  And look how cute doilies are on a card.

I also love this layered look in scrapbook pages and tried it out in this card.

And I was totally inspired by the diagonal design in Ali Edwards’ scrapbook layout for this card.

And finally, here is the Valentine’s Day Card that I made for my sweet husband.

I think Love might be the greatest inspiration of them all.

Peace, Kelly

P.S.  As promised, here are a couple of photos from my friends who’ve been busy trying out Pinterest recipes! Smile

My friend Kerry makes the most beautiful cupcakes and tried out this red velvet cupcake recipe.  Look how beautiful Kerry’s turned out!

And my both my friends Laura and Teala RAVE about this chicken noodle casserole! Laura sent me this photo of her leftovers.

I think I might have to try this next weekend when my delightful daughter comes home.

I hope you are having as much fun as I am trying out all the great stuff on Pinterest!

Love, Kelly
