It’s been one of those weeks. Early mornings, late nights. Meeting myself coming and going as my mom would say. The good news about this is that I haven’t had to cook dinner one time this week! And thanks to the miracle of dry shampoo, I’ve shaved about 30 minutes off of my morning routine.
All joking aside though, these kinds of weeks are usually a recipe for the strung-out, stressed to the max version of myself. The one that finds me vacillating between angry outbursts and tears. But that’s not the case this year.
Maybe it’s because I’ve scaled back in terms of holiday preparations. Maybe it’s thanks to my photography practice. Or maybe it’s because I have been indulging in “self care” which this week consisted of daily walks around the neighborhood with my dogs (and maybe a few handfuls of Hershey’s kisses here and there). In any case, the truth of the matter is that I have peace in my heart.
All is calm.
Wishing the same you for you my friends.
Love, Kelly

“Whoever uses the spirit that is in him creatively is an artist. To make living itself an art, that is the goal.” ~ Henry Miller
