around here my mom is recovering from surgery. about a month ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and on wednesday she underwent a lumpectomy. the surgery went well and my mom has an excellent prognosis (they caught it very early and they do not believe it has spread). so thankful for the skilled surgeon and wonderful care she has received. very grateful that they live close by now.
around here i am finally starting to get used to my kitchen. one of my favorite things is to watch how the light moves through the space during the day. and it’s interesting how the white paint color is subtly showing up in look and feel of my photos.
around here i am looking forward to the weekend….some non-kitchen related quality time with tripp. and hopefully dinner with our girl.
around here my rose bush is getting a bit of a second wind. delicate pink petals and round, plump rose hips coexisting in late summer harmony ….it’s so september.
around here i am taking every opportunity to soak up as much of september’s golden hour light as possible.
around here, there are little hints of fall…a sign of things to come. where i was having a hard time letting summer go before, i am now fully embracing the change in seasons as we move towards autumn.
september magic at its best. hope you’re getting a taste of it as well.
happy weekend friends. love, kelly
Beautiful photos Kelly. So glad to hear your mom’s surgery went well and she has a great prognosis. Finally starting to see bits of fall weather….even tho the day time highs hit 90, the mornings and evenings cool off beautifully. TGIF!
Kelly, so happy to hear that your Mom’s surgery went well and I pray that her recovery will be swift. Love your white kitchen and enjoyed reading your day by day adventures in creating your “dream” white kitchen.
Such beautiful Sept photos Kelly! Looks like the kitchen redo was worth it, looks great in the pics. Cancer is a scary thing, so glad your mom’s was caught early.
I love your new white kitchen, the way the light seems to dance off it, and your funny, “dreaming of a white kitchen”, posts. So funny!! We have a rose bush doing the same thing, in the same color. Beautiful! Prayers for your mom, that she’ll be completely healed, that Jesus will be with ya’ll and carry you through this.
thank you so much bonnie for your kind words! xoxo
