Around Here

Around here my garden is a constant source of delight and joy. The zinnias are really taking off with their kaleidoscope of colors and the dahlias are just getting started with their luscious blooms. Having little bouquets of flowers around the house makes me ridiculously happy.

Around here evening walks are the course du jour. I love having a front row seat to the beauty and magic in my neighborhood.

Around here the butterfly sightings have been few and far between. But in the past couple of days I’ve seen a black swallowtail darting in around the backyard. Hoping this is sign of more to come.

Around here June is showing off with its glorious golden light. It’s the one time of year that the setting sun actually peeks through the trees and houses in my neighborhood to deliver little pools of light right in my own front yard. Likewise, the little bright spots in my life are what continue to lift my spirits and bring me joy.

Hoping my photos and this post bring a little light and happiness into your life as well.

Love, Kelly

Our gardens are not only a special source of joy this summer but I find, a source of healing as well. I’m right there with you on the little sprinkles of joy around our homes. Our garden is so abundant right now, I’ve been sharing with elderly neighbors because ins a few weeks, the blooms will wane.

As always, your photos are stunning!

A garden question: what variety of zinnia do you grow. I can’t find any with longer stems.

    Thanks,

    Dotti ((smooch))
