i’m not sure which one made me happier yesterday. a bowl full of holiday m&m’s. or that the sun finally came out and made pretty light for a photo. either way…i call that a win-win.
wishing you all wonderfully sweet christmas memories.

Yep…. I’m gonna say both!!! 🙂
Oh I almost bought some red and green M&M’s the other day…but then I remembered that I would end up eating them all so I put them back….
It’s a great duo either way…warm sunshine plus m & m’s…I love the ruffle on the towel!!
Love the christmas feel with the towel and bowl of yummies. Light is always a bonus.
Oh, so pretty!!!
Pretty festive set-up! We’ve finally had a little sunshine, also!
So pretty (and yummy)! Such a pretty tea towel too!
So glad you got a spot of sunshine for this sweet little photo, Kelly! The sun has been elusive around here, too. Sunday was wonderful and I was out on the back porch shooting. But that’s the only day in two weeks I can recall seeing the sun. How are we supposed to pursue our passion if the sun doesn’t cooperate? xo
How pretty! That is the cutest towel. Great still life. Have a blessed Christmas.
Great combination, candy and sunshine that worked very well for you.
It’s nice when simple things make us happy! Love your creative use of color in your picture today and the fun with the caption typography, too – a very cool, graphic arts kind of style!
One more thing . . . Kelly, I didn’t realize that you sold calendar templates in your Esty shop. I already bought some for this year, but yours are lovely. I’ve bookmarked your site and I will look forward to shopping with you next time!
thank you so much donna!
Definitely a win-win.
really enjoy your blog & your photography. how do you achieve that “faded soft look” you used in your desktop calendar photos and like today’s candy photo? thank you & happy holidays!
hi wendy! thank you so much for the kinds words! in this particular shot, i over-exposed it a bit to get soft of a lighter/airy look. and much of the “faded soft look” in my photos comes from my post-processing. i several lightroom tutorials where i describe my start to finish processing techniques…
