confessions of a crazy tomato lady 2.0

perhaps you remember this post?

2012-07-05_9171web_thumb

well in the two years since i wrote it, nothing has really changed…i still don’t love tomatoes.  but i still keep growing them.

this year i am growing these cute little grape tomatoes.  about every other day i go and pick a dozen or so.  yesterday i was happy to have my mom and stop by so that i could send some home with her.

she stood there in my kitchen eating them, one after another, with a little sprinkle of salt.  because my mom loves tomatoes.  which is a good thing.  because i’m also growing these bad boys.

i have affectionately dubbed this one as ‘mom’s tomato’.  and it’s huge!  i’m not kidding, i bet it as big as couple of softballs and probably weighs a good three pounds.

everyday i got outside to see if it’s getting ripe.  mom can hardly wait.  good thing she’s crazy about tomatoes.

peace, kelly

Ha! You and my husband: no tomatoes, please. But I love them! It looks like you’re a dab hand at growing them, though. xo

Lovely photos……how can you not be tempted by them! 😉 Not even with a little balsamic vinegar and olive oil?
