Last Friday, I enjoyed a visit from a beautiful eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly.
I followed this lovely lady as she made her way into the backyard and then I watched as she landed on the azeleas.
She stayed there for quite a while, getting a good, long drink. And it made me so happy to know that I could offer her a bit of rest and nourishment on whatever journey she might be on.
It seems fitting to be sharing this encounter with you on Earth Day. The beauty of natural world is constant source of inspiration, joy, peace, and comfort, and I hope this enchanting creature brings you as much delight and happiness as it did me.
