because she came home to visit

my girl came home this weekend.  so we of course went to the fair.

there was alot of this.

because let’s face it…the best thing about the fair is food.

and no trip to the fair would be complete without going to see the baby animals.

{dear santa,  all i want for christmas is a baby goat.  or a baby pig. thanks!  love, kelly}

it was such a beautiful night for the fair.

but i think i had one too many bites of tripp’s corndog.  or the spiral cut potatoes. or maybe it was caramel apple.  either way, we came home pretty early.

saturday it rained most of the day, so we just hung around the house.

and of course watched the OU game.  boomer!

later that day, the sun came out.  and it was just beautiful.

and then on sunday, my girl  left to go back to school.  but not before letting me snap a few photos before we went to church.

i may have bribed her with chocolate no-bake cookies. Smile

    fairs are meant to be spent with your kiddos. mine love ours, planning which rides they’ll ride first, where they’ll sit to get the biggest bang for their buck.

    i just like all the pretty lights. ; )

    What a wonderful weekend! I’m glad you had such a nice time with your daughter home. Unfortunately for me, my team was on the losing side of the OU vs ND game. Oh well…

    I haven’t been to the fair in years! There is so much there to capture, especially those delicious looking foods! Your portraits of her are lovely!

    I so totally get it! My daughter is between apartments for the next 15 days – so she will be running in and out, painting her garage sale furniture AND my son will be here tomorrow night! Only wish we had a fair nearby!
    Glad you had such a fun, ordinary,wonderful weekend!
