for the love of weeds

it’s that time of year.

IMG_1056_blog.jpg

weeds are popping up all over the place including our lawn and the empty lot down the street from us.

but i decided that these weeds deserve a little more than a passing glance.  and so i’m geeking out on native wildflowers with my friends at focusing on life today.  i would be delighted to have you come by visit me there.

after all…weeds are flowers too.  🙂

Some weeds have such pretty flowers – we often pull them up before their beauty is developed. Nicely quoted.

LOL! Sometimes my mantra about the yard is, “if it’s green, it’s acceptable!” I think this wildflower is named Henbit. We have lots of it in our area. And it’s only a weed if it’s growing where you don’t want it to grow, right? 🙂

If weeds can be so beautiful, there’s hope for the rest of us! Lovely photos, stunning light.

Weeds are an unwanted plant. Surely that can’t be a weed . . . I would really want it. Beautifully done.
