Pass the Peas Please

I sure do hope you’ve been able to enjoy a little Spring weather in your neck of the woods.  This past Saturday was absolutely glorious in mine. Smile

Tripp and I spent the beautiful day cleaning up around the yard after the CRAZY wind and storms of the past week.  Oh and I also planted my peas. YAY!!  I {heart} peas.

I read the planting guide on the package.  Burpee makes a couple of suggestions for planting in rows, but since my garden is on the small side, I am experimenting with this grid style planting method.

So I sectioned off a three foot square in my garden…

…and using this extremely, high-tech, hole making device I made 2” deep holes every 6 inches.

Of course I have my very own yardstick – don’t you?? Winking smile

So, next I placed one of these cutie pie, pea seeds in each hole.  My guess is that I’ll have to thin them out a bit later on, but for now I think this will work.

Last thing I did was to cover the holes.

So how are my other seeds doing?  Well I’m so glad you asked.  Smile  Check it out!

I want to plant a garden, but I’m convinced that everything I planted would die. Great pics! Keep us posted!
