T. G. I. F
well ok, i guess that’s not entirely true as today i thought i’d share with you a little about my week. some of the riveting highlights are as follows.
1. i went to the store on monday.
see i told you…try to contain your enthusiasm
anyway, they had bing cherries on sale. and as much as i love cherries, i’ve never bought them…i blame it on that fact that i worked at a movie theater as a teenager. and it showed the movie ‘witches of eastwick’ one summer. and if you happen to remember the scene with the cherries then you’ll understand my aversion.
but my mother-in-law was talking about them the other day so i decided to buy some. and i’m really glad i did, because they are so wonderfully sweet and juicy. and as an added benefit, for nerds like me, they are very photogenic.
2. tuesday night i made tripp pull over so that i could take a picture of this sunset.
i {heart} oklahoma skies.
3. wednesday afternoon i came home to this.
you might not be able to see it very well on this picture, but yes that is dirt all over his face. can you say busted?
4. it rained yesterday.
actually it poured almost all day (although you will never hear me complaining about rain in july). and around 2:00 i heard it start thundering again so i went to weather underground to check the radar.
what can i say…i am an okie…we are obsessed with weather.
at any rate, it wasn’t 30 seconds later and i got this text from tripp.
yes we are complete weather nerds. and just for the record…
now if you happen to recall the the whole rain gauge saga (you can read about it here) we finally resorted to this oldschool model.
please…i know don’t say it.
5. this past week i have had the pleasure of riding shotgun in my daughter’s car.
probably more so than i have in the five years since she got her driver’s license. but she’s a very good driver. #justlikehermomma and the real treat about being a passenger in her car is 1) being up-close and personal with her totally adorable top-knot and 2) having a front row seat to her singing along with the radio.
so with that i’m going to wrap up this blog post by sharing with you a little snippet of the pure joy and delight that this wonderful child brings into my life. i hope it makes you smile as much as it did me.
happy weekend my dear friends.
love, kelly
That video of your daughter is just pure joy! No wonder you are loving the stint as co-pilot!
I’m with you on the rain! This has been one of the wettest summers we’ve had! I love how green everything looks! Kelsey is just so cute!
That picture of Kelsey melts my heart. You have magical eyes, Kelly. This week I am going to have time finally to read your workflow posts again. Welcome to Monday, my friend.
