Look How Far We’ve Come

I’ve noticed that it’s starting to stay light a little bit longer in the evenings. According to the weather almanac, we’re gaining about a minute or so of daylight every day. Which when you look at it like that, it doesn’t seem like all that much.

But compared to this time last month, when the days were at their shortest, that’s a whole extra 25 minutes of daylight. A whole extra 25 minutes to be outside.

I think this a lot how life works too. Sometimes it feels like making progress on our goals is moving so slowly that it’s nearly imperceptible. Especially when we’re in the thick of it…nose to the grindstone. Which is why I think it’s important to take a step back once in a while. To look at the bigger picture. To see how far we’ve come.

And we’ve come a long way baby.
