recklessly blooming

everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~rainer maria rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

if these photos led you to assume that all i’ve done for the past week is walk around and take pictures of the flowering trees in my neighborhood, well…that would not be entirely inaccurate.

i hope they make you as happy as they do me.

love, kelly

What a wonderful post! In this land of the frozen north I live in it was an ‘oh so welcome’ sight this morning. Could you tell me where you are Kelly (I think I want to move there ;)?
Also, what is the tree that is pictured by the 6th image down? The reddish yellowish one.

Gorgeous! I too have enjoyed walking around taking flowering tree photos this week. It’s contagious I think. – Yours were lovely.

Dogwood? Already? I’m majorly jealous. Beautiful photos thought and they do cheer me after the spectacularly RAINY day we had. I keep reminding myself, all this rain will bring forth the spring flowers. Come on, already! xo
