apparently winter has not gotten the message.
to me this yearās winter is like the boyfriend that you broke up with that keeps calling and hanging up.Ā then stalking your house.Ā
dear winterā¦itās not me, itās you.
or something like that.
so for this wreath i wanted it to be springy of course.Ā and happy and light.Ā bold but yet sweet.Ā send the message that i am officially moving on.Ā sort of like how reese witherspoon did after her divorice from ryan phillipe when she showed up at that awards show with a banging body and the most perfect bangs ever.Ā
i knowā¦donāt say it.Ā itās alot of pressure to put on a simple front door wreath.
anyway, i found these two wreaths on pinterestā¦.my inspiration.
naturally my next stop was hobby lobby to pick up some supplies.
from my stash i also grabbed some burlap ribbon and raffia.
so to start with, i layered some fern stems to make sort of base.
then basically all i did was layer these sweet little stems that came in shades of pale pink, yellow, and green.Ā finally, i finished it off with a burlap bow and an sweet little birds nest.
i really like how it turned outā¦kind of {technical term here} sproingy.
so winter, as much as i will also appreciate you for your own special, unique qualities, iām over you.
love, kelly
such a beautiful wreath, kelly. that bird’s nest is the cutest thing!
What a sweet wreath…not quite ready to hang up a spring wreath even tho I am so over this winter. There are still Christmas wreaths and lights that haven’t been removed yet because of the weather around here.
Kelly it is beautiful!! š I’m with you….come on SPRING!!! š
Beautiful work, Kelly! And good for you … giving Ol’ Man Winter the heave ho and inviting Spring in. Her time has come.
I love your wreath! This one is perfect for driving old man winter away! Hope you’re seeing some sunshine and warmer temps as we are right now!
Love this idea! You have definitely inspired me……now I need to go shopping š
