thank you august

around here, summer isn’t quite ready to give up.  but this morning i spied this autumn clematis in full, glorious bloom on my neighbor’s fence.  so i know it won’t be long until autumn finds its way into my neck of the woods.

as we head into the long weekend, i just wanted to stop for just a minute to take in this moment.  just express my gratitude for all of the blessings in my life.  of which there are so many.  and especially today, for family and friends.  for magical light.  for sleep and rest.
