This past weekend, Tripp and I enjoyed a weekend getaway to an all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica. Ā SituatedĀ inĀ Gulf of Papagayo, our resort was carved out of the side of a mountain. Ā And because it is Costa Ricaās dry season, we enjoyed three warm, blissful days of sunshine. Ā A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.
I have always maintained that there is beauty and magic to be found in my ordinary life. Ā Itās the way I see the world and is the driving force for all of my creative pursuits. Ā That being said, there is something especiallyĀ inspiring about travel and getting out of my normal routine.Ā Ā To escape from the to-do list and enjoy the days free of distraction. Ā To really relax and quiet my mind. Ā To see with fresh eyes.
Last weekend was all of that. Ā Time with my love. Ā Time for us to reconnect as couple. Ā Time to reconnect to myself. Ā And IĀ am so, so grateful.
