This past weekend, Tripp and I enjoyed a weekend getaway to an all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica. Situated in Gulf of Papagayo, our resort was carved out of the side of a mountain. And because it is Costa Rica’s dry season, we enjoyed three warm, blissful days of sunshine. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.
I have always maintained that there is beauty and magic to be found in my ordinary life. It’s the way I see the world and is the driving force for all of my creative pursuits. That being said, there is something especially inspiring about travel and getting out of my normal routine. To escape from the to-do list and enjoy the days free of distraction. To really relax and quiet my mind. To see with fresh eyes.
Last weekend was all of that. Time with my love. Time for us to reconnect as couple. Time to reconnect to myself. And I am so, so grateful.
