it’s official friends…the holiday season has begun! raise your hand if you are still in denial that sunday is december 1st.
{raising my hand!!}
well so for the past two weeks while my daughter had my computer, i wasn’t entirely unproductive. i decided to take the opportunity to work on my december daily album.
{confession…i kind of liked having time away from the computer to work on fun, tactile projects.}
anyway, i thought i might share with you some of the stuff i’ve been working on. to start with, i decided to go with this 6×8 inch album from simple stories.
which came with these awesome divided page protectors (i also bought an additional package with a variety of pocket sizes).
i also ordered this cute paper kit from echo park.
and along with some sequins and a few little odd & ends that i picked up at michaels, that was the basic set of supplies i used in my album.
so the first thing i did was work on the cover….i started out just wanting to make a glittery number ‘25’. but then of course my inner glitter-junkie came out and i decided to put sparkle on anything that moved.
here is the cover and a few of the foundation pages that i have made.
clearly my plan to make my album super simple and keep the embellishments to a minimum is working out splendidly.
oh and so last weekend…it was so rainy and cold. one afternoon tripp was watching football and i decided to really get crafty and made this little mixed media piece on one of the chipboard dividers that came with my album.
honestly…i cannot be trusted when glitter and sparkle paint is involved.
so you know me and i love all things scrapbook and holiday related. but i also wanted to incorporate our faith into this album. so i found the readings for the four sundays of advent, and made little 3×4 cards – one for each sunday of advent.
i have uploaded a full resolution download here if you would like to have a copy for any of your projects.
so i haven’t added any actual photos yet. but i think i have a good start and my hope is to try to work on my album a tiny bit everyday. i’ll post photos to my december daily 2013 page here and also to my december daily flickr album.
i think i’ll wrap this blog post up here. my husband is outside trying to figure out which christmas lights go on the gate and which go on the windows. and if i don’t go help, lord only knows where the garlands might end up.
love, kelly

Looks beautiful, Kelly! I’m not as much into the ‘tactile’ stuff, have never scrapbooked, no desire, and Project Life just didn’t call my name. But I’m in awe of what others do. Keep sharing!

What fun! I can’t wait to see what you create!
