I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned my love of the Princess a time or five on my blog. So I decided it was high time that the Princess got her own blog post!
Now I am not a food blogger by any stretch, but I love food and I love the Princess, so this ought to come pretty easily. So…let’s get this party started!
First of all, let’s talk about ice. Any soda pop (or lemonade) drinking Okie can tell you that the overall quality of their beverage is enhanced by the perfectly crushed iced. And lots of it. The Princess does not disappoint with their small, crunchy ice pellets.
Now about the menu. I never look at it. I always get the same thing – Cheeseburger with mustard, lettuce, and pickles. I love the thin, juicy patty cooked to perfection on the flat-top grill with the cheese perfectly melted on top. The shredded lettuce is the final component along with plenty of mustard. Mustard + burger juice = delicious.
Tripp broke tradition and opted for the chicken fried steak sandwich. I took a little bite (or three) of the non-mayonnaise-y part and it was delicious.
The perfect accompaniment to a Princess burger (or steak sandwich) is an order of onion rings. Or curly fries. Or if you can’t decide and get both, well I can promise you there will be no judgment from us.
Now this is perfection. (Oh and be sure to put salt and pepper on your curly-q’s.)
This is why I will never be skinny.
We weren’t that hungry.
And we certainly didn’t want to eat this blackberry cobbler. We just ordered it so we wouldn’t hurt the owner’s feelings.
Cold, creamy, silky-smooth soft serve and warm, juicy berry cobbler. It’s a match made in heaven.
So wrap up this gustatory extravaganza, I would just like to add that the Princess is just a wonderful place, with wonderful food, and wonderful people. It’s just one of my favorite things and one of life’s simplest pleasures.
If you would like to enjoy your own Princess burger you can find it near scenic Lake Tenkiller on Highway 82 just a mile or so past the bridge.

Be sure to get a bottle of local honey and say “Hi” to the Millers for us!
Cheers! Kelly
