while we were on spring break, i took the opportunity to take a little photo walk by myself. i did a little exploring on the beach…there is something about being at the ocean which is peaceful and inspirational at the same time.
i know i’m saying this yet again, but it’s so very true for me….photography has changed the way i see the world. i’m sharing some of my thoughts with my friends at focusing on life today and i would be delighted for you to come and visit me there.
have a wonderful tuesday my friends.
love, kelly
I agree, the beach is calming and a quiet place to gather thoughts. The lighting in your picture is very good, nicely done.
Yes! Right there with you, Kelly. The beach is a tonic for me, it fills me up. This is beautiful and calm and majestic, all rolled into one. It should be a canvas hanging on a wall in your home. xo
I agree the ocean has a mystical pull on our souls. It’s my favorite place to rest and refresh my soul. This is a lovely capture.
Visiting from Texture Tuesday.
The beach, for me, often has a number of sounds associated with it; the roar of the waves, the sharp cry of gulls etc. so it may not be quiet in the sense of a lack of noise but for me, it is quiet in that it tends to wash away the ‘noise’ of everyday worries and the din of racing thoughts of what must be done and let peace wash into my soul. More a quietness of spirit I’d call it.
The soft light of the sun illuminating the water makes this image!
Amen! Photography has opened my eyes and believe it or not my husbands through my photography. (His are still more than half closed though. LOL)
I adore this image…..my dream is to live by the sea; it’s where I feel truly at peace.
Beautiful image! I’ll be headed to the beach this summer for the first time in a very long time! I hope I get to spend some quiet time wandering along the water.
Beautiful image! I love the sun spots. What a lovely and peaceful place for a stroll.
Beautiful. Wjat a wonderful spot to walk along and alone.
Great capture … wonderful photo and quote, Kelly !
Have a nice weekend,
Sylvia
