winter is, by far, my least favorite season. but over the past couple of years i have learned to appreciate it for its own particular beauty. and like most things, it’s all in the way you see it.
in a similar post last january, my blogging friend ashling left me the loveliest comment where she compared winter to shivasana {the period of rest that comes after the yoga practice}. and so when you look at it like that…well who knows? i might even learn to love winter.
peace, kelly
Be still my heart Kelly, simply gorgeous work.
Truly the perfect winter image! The light says it all.
Beautiful! Winter is not my favorite season either.
I love how others gently remind us to look for different perspectives on things!
I love this image! Such a little touch of beauty in this stark winter time! Love your post this morning at FOL!
Beautiful! Lovely image and edit; your post too – what a beautiful way to think of winter.
Simple image – and I love the calming feel it has – like how you edited and the quote fits perfectly…
Hugs
This is beautiful, the texture complements the photo beautifully. And the quote … I like it! Yes, we do need to learn to ‘rest’, don’t we?
Lovely thoughts and wonderful photo, Kelly !
Love it …
Nice week,
Sylvia
Lovely photo and quote for winter. As I age, winter has lost some of it’s charm for me, but still when it’s a soft warmer snowfall especially in the early hours of the evening, it brings back so many memories. Love the stillness of it. But in the harsh cold of day, not so crazy about it considering my car wouldn’t start for a few day. Today is sunshine and cold. 🙂
Beautiful image. Great quote!!! I’m not a winter fan, either, but it does have it’s beauty.
THIS my friend… takes my breath away…. so lovely……. truly.
