So like I’ve shared, this past weekend was a really fun time in Dallas. And it wasn’t just because I got to spend a couple of days photographing flowers and butterflies. I mean, I do loving taking pictures of flowers and butterflies…but it was more than that.
It was great being in Dallas with my family. It meant so much to have them there with me. Plus it’s always an adventure if Tripp is involved. And our adventure that weekend was our night at Medieval Times.
I will tell you that this was much more of a Tripp thing, but you know…it didn’t matter. It was something different. Something unexpected. Definitely out of the ordinary.
Because seriously, when was the last time you ate with your hands and watched a jousting match during dinner??
The other great thing about the weekend was that I got to connect with my friends – both my new photography friends and some of my close friends that also happened to be in Dallas that weekend. I was joking with one of the girls that it was the most I had talked in weeks. And I know that sounds so pathetic. But looking back you know, I had just been hibernating for so long and I didn’t even realize it.
In all honesty, getting out more is something that I’ve been working on this month as part of my OLW. After I wrote this post, it really motivated me to shake things up a bit. And that’s what I’ve been doing. Running different routes, spending more time with friends, soaking up the glory of spring that’s starting to emerge all around.
I love this time of year for so many reasons. But especially this year…this month…I feel renewed in so many ways. Reinvigorated. More alive.
And it was all because I got out more.
Love, Kelly

I think we’ve all hibernated a little too much this winter. It feels so good to get out and breathe the fresh air! Beautiful images!
