when rachel and ryan got married

this past weekend we were in dallas for the wedding of a special girl – the daughter of our dear friend stacey. 

she is just loveliest young woman. and kelsey was so thrilled that rachel asked her to be one of her bridesmaids.

it was a whirlwind of a weekend.  unbeknownst to me, my bff carrie volunteered me to help with the decorations. 

but all joking aside, it was just such a joy to be there and share in rachel, ryan, and their families’ special day.

such a wonderful weekend!  so much fun getting to spend time with my friends.  even getting make some new friends. 

i was telling kelsey on our way home…there was period of five years or so when i was in my twenties that i was either part of or invited to a lot of weddings.  and then for the past twenty or so i don’t think i went to any.  but it seems like now we’re going to be on the wedding circuit again…only this time it’s my friend’s children getting married.

but honestly, it is wonderful.  because weddings are so romantic and joyful.  so hopeful.  so happy.

although anyone who went to rachel’s wedding might wonderful how i can sit here and tell you how happy i was seeing as how i walked around with tears in my eyes most of the day.   what can i say…sometimes the happy comes out of my eyes in liquid form.

at any rate, like i said before, it was wonderful and so special to share in their joy.

and so tonight, i am sending rachel and ryan big love.  wishing them every joy and blessing as they start their new life together.
