good morning my friends! happy friday!
in case you were curious, i am typing this blog post from my new favorite room in the house.
it’s only been a week, but i still smile every. single. time. i come in here.
well except maybe if my cat was in here first. because i also share my creative space with the litter box.
at any rate, i thought i would pop in today and do something radical. which is to say that i thought i would share with you a little bit about my week. and show you some pictures. because that’s blogging right?
telling the story of my life with pictures.
i sometimes forget that it’s ok to do that.
first off though, i would like to thank you for all of the lovely comments you left my post yesterday about my sweet girl. i was sharing with her all the nice things you said and she was quite touched.
i have to tell you….it’s been so nice having her around…and if she was here she would probably tell you that i pretty much stalk her with the camera.
anyway, it’s been a great week. on tuesday i had my girlfriends over for dinner.
we sat outside and enjoyed a simple supper. and enjoyed each others’ company.
these girls are such a special part of my life.
then of course there were a few golden hour photo walks. soaking up that glorious summer light.
i’m sure glad mrs. graham next door doesn’t mind me traipsing through her front yard to take pictures of her coreopsis.
just for grins, here are pictures i’ve taken the past couple of years…it’s fun for me to see how my photography has evolved.
clearly i am obsessed with backlight. #lightjunkie
also this week, tripp’s company is having their annual sales meeting here in tulsa. so that means all of the sales guys and big dogs from the main office are in town. so he’s been busy with work things most evening this week. and because kelsey is interning at his company with their marketing manager, she’s had a big part in organizing most of these events.
so, so love seeing kelsey in her element.
last night was the company night at drillers stadium.
a gorgeous evening for baseball. but the most awesome thing was getting our picture with the drillers’ mascot, hornsby.
yes you guys. my life is now complete.
anyway, before i wrap up this blog post…real quick, i would also like to say this. to all of my blogging buddies, flickr friends, instagram friends….basically all of my ‘online’ connections…i know that lately i’ve been a lousy friend. but it’s because my ‘offline’ life has been so good. so rich with connection. so full of light and life. and i am trying to soak up and savor every, blessed moment of it. and i hope you are able to do the same.
so with that, i’m going to sign off.
i hope you have a wonderful weekend dear friends.
all my love, kelly

So nice you are enjoying your daughter being home and seeing her in her element. LOVE your final photo with scripture done in your beautiful calligraphy! Continue enjoying the summer Kelly….it’s too short to do otherwise!

I love seeing all this. I just wanted to comment that I share our laundry room with our kitties and that is hard enough for me. I don’t know how you do it.
