This time last month it was 90 degrees outside and felt more like summer than fall. Today it’s cold rain and feeling more like winter than autumn. That’s Oklahoma weather for you. But I think it’s also a reminder of how quickly things can change. Which one of the reasons I love photography. To press the pause button on life…even if it’s just for a moment.
I love seeing this month’s photos grouped together like this and how they really tell the story of the month.
In terms of memory keeping, I used the October 2019 Digital Kit to document our week in KC earlier in this month. I also included a little insert because I had to include that awesome owl photo!
I also documented how I have been feeling more energized and creatively inspired again using the November-theme Stories by the Month Kit. The colors and designs were perfect for the nature inspired photos I’ve been taking this month.
Finally, this month’s Story theme of Watch is an encouragement to pay attention and to be a keen observer of our life. Something I took to heart on my recent walk through the neighborhood.
I also used this month’s theme as an opportunity to take a walk down memory lane a little documenting some of my favorite TV shows.
This layout was so fun to work on and it gave me all the feels reminiscing about the shows I used to watch with my family as a little girl.
Finally, the other big story this month was the return of the monarchs. So I used the Story Stamp to document and celebrate the joy they bring to my life.
It’s hard to believe that we’re closing in on the end of another year (and another decade for that matter!). And as I look at my nearly full albums sitting on the table next to me, it makes me so happy to see so many of the stories and photos from year inside. Is it every photo? Or every memory? Of course not. But it’s enough for me.
As always, thank you for letting me share my photos and my stories with you.
Love, Kelly
